AUGUSTO OMOLÚ
Augusto Omolú grew up within the religious world of the Candomblé, where he is ogan (ceremonial assistant). Augusto has been collaborating with ISTA (International School of Theatre Anthropology) since 1994 as a teacher.
Augusto Omolú has developed a particular technique of training for actors and dancers based on the Orixá dances from the Afro-Brazilian tradition of Candomblé. This technique develops different forms of energy that successively can be used independently from the original form. Augusto also draws from his training and experiences as a contemporary and ballet dancer to enrich his innovative technique.
The participants must be dressed in comfortable clothes for intense physical work.
